Below are the judges for the 2018 Anderson’s Got Talent competition:
Gregg Gammon grew up in Warren County attending the Little Miami School district. He then attended the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory as a music theory/composition major with an emphasis on electronic music. During and shortly after college Gregg performed live in numerous touring bands across the mid-west and southern states. Gregg entered the music instrument retail Industry in 1989 and has been in that industry ever since. Gregg Currently owns and operates 3rd Rock Music located at the corner of Beechmont Ave, and 8 Mile Road. A retail establishment offering instrument sales, music lessons and audio visual installations.
For the Past 20 years Gregg has been involved with the Mt. Camel Church worship team. He has performed, written, arranged and recorded numerous live and studio albums for the Christian Music Industry that have been distributed and sold around the world. You can also find Gregg performing solo from time to time at local establishments like Mt. Carmel Brewery, Mio’s Pizza and Pirates cove to name a few. Gregg has a wife and 3 Children attending THE Ohio State University and Ohio University in Athens.
Joe Backer is co-owner and Director of the Cincinnati School of Music. He received his Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance at the University of South Carolina, and his Master of Music in Piano Performance at the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music.

Xan Waddell Jeffery is a native of Nashville, TN. She came to Cincinnati to study at the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music, earning her Bachelor and Master of Music degrees in Vocal Performance. Xan music directs shows throughout the tri-state area, including the Carnegie, the Covedale, the Footlighters, McNicholas High School, Milford and the Cincinnati Academy of Performing Arts. She is currently a member of the Cincinnati Fusion Ensemble and the Cincinnati Choral Society. She has a very active voice studio, with locations in Indian Hill and Anderson Township. Xan is a soloist at the Indian Hill Church and is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing and Sigma Alpha Iota Cincinnati Alumnae Chapter. In 2007, she became eligible for membership in the Screen Actors Guild (SAG). Xan and her husband, Mike, live in Anderson Township with their two rescue dogs and are proud parents of four 20-something children.
Elyssa attended Xavier University this past year as a major in musical theatre. During her time at Xavier she has performed in Shows such as Legally Blonde: The Musical as a part of the ensemble, worked on costume crew for shows such as The Laramie Project, and Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson. Her favorite theatre accomplishment is portraying Sally Bowles this past Spring in Xavier Theatre’s production of Cabaret.
Elyssa is a 2017 graduate from Western Brown High School in Mt. Orab, where she performed in Shows such as Seussical, Bye Bye Birdie, and The Music Man.
From 2013-2017 Elyssa was the lead singer in the local band Spearpoint. They performed and won first place in this Talent show in 2013. She has also performed in AGT 4 times on her own and placed first twice with singing.
Going forward Elyssa is no longer pursuing a career in musical theatre but still plans on doing theatre around the Cincinnati community theatre circuit. She will be working on a degree in Dental Hygiene at The University of Cincinnati.
